Description

Halloween is an annual festival celebrated on 31st October. It is dedicated to remembering the dead. Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, where kids dress in costumes and threaten to scare (trick) people if they aren’t given candy (treat).

Atomic Candy is a quirky, quaint, old-fashioned candy store located on the historic town square in Denton, Texas. These in-store window posters were used to lure in passersby and visitors to the square during Halloween season, which is peak candy consumption and peak scare-the-crap-out-of-you season.

We combined the two main elements of Halloween–scaring people and candy–to create these posters. They were able to scare people without using costumes, just candy in ghoulish form. It reinforced the notion that candy is the most important element of Halloween. You can’t eat your costume, but you can scare people with just candy.
