Description
To break out in a sea of Olympics clutter, the idea
of “Making Connections” became the guiding design concept. We looked to combine the existing Samsung identity with elements from the Olympics identity to create a unique partnership approach.
Execution
Samsung black, white and blue combined with the
bright Olympics color palette to depict photos of Olympic sports like high jump and volleyball. The Samsung products were the heroes of the compositions…phone screens interacted with clean illustrated lines depicting Rio landmarks, seamlessly connecting the
Games, Samsung’s devices, and the host city.
Outcome
The designs were used in OOH, events, collateral
and at Retail, engulfing cities around the world with the spirit of the Rio Olympic Games.
