'Scully' is a true story about a Jameson worker called Bill Scully. In 1888 he had made the unforgivable mistake of only distilling Jameson two times. When everyone knows it's always distilled three times. This mishap was noted in that days Distillery Ledger. This film tells the story of what Scully did and what happened to Scully afterwards. It was a truly terrible mistake that the whole town knew about. And they weren't happy. Scully had a decision to make. Would he stay and face the music or would he jump on the boat to America and leave behind this shame? In the end we see there is some redemption, but not too much. He learnt his lesson and now he's very clear on why triple distillation is so important. Taste, that's why.
