Description

A film that tells the story of a girl who, because of a children’s book, is enchanted with space and becomes the first brazilian female astronaut. In the soundtrack to this great female achievement, we turned “Starman” by David Bowie into “Stargirl”.

Execution

The complete campaign (film, together with the song) was launched as 2-minutes films aired on brazilian prime time, followed by an extensive media plan, both on and off-line, that impacted almost 90 million people on TV, received over 9 million views on YouTube and thousands of impacts on social medias.

In parallel to the film, we used the song “Stargirl” in digital campaigns and social medial to engage people. And in many radio stations in Brazil the song was presented as content, not advertising.

Outcome

The importance of reading and women’s empowerment became an issue in the entire country.

-38,6 million online views.

-2.2 billion impacts.

-85% positive comments on Facebook.

-89,8 million people were impacted on TV.

-Over 4 million books were ordered in less than 9 days.
