Description
The logo had to be visually pleasing;it had to get noticed first time. What started as a logo ended up being a calligram.
Execution
After a few days of doodling, we decided that by stylizing the letters a calligram was possible. Also, given the name we were working with, we decided to stay away from ghoulish imagery vulpine-fangs-dripping blood and suchlike, and instead, make it as friendly-looking as possible. Once we had a working format in place, we fine tuned the strokes till it conformed to acceptable standards. The result was a logo that not only looked better to us than the earlier one, but one that also worked as a page-loading flash anim.
Outcome
Nine times out of ten, people who visit our site (or see our logo otherwise) like our logo.The quality of cold calls has gone up. People frequently compliment us on our logo.
