Description

In Australia, it is estimated that up to 400,000 children suffer from a rare disease. The Steve Waugh Foundation aids in the identification, treatment and research of rare diseases. To coincide with International Rare Disease Day and help raise awareness for the individuals and families affected by rare diseases, we created a poignant short film.

Our film plays off the fact that charitable organisations encourage all sorts of strange ways to raise funds, and compares this to the simplicity of our request for awareness. Inviting the children with rare diseases and their families to be the stars of the film gives the piece both emotion and authenticity -- and allows them to show their strength and positivity, while highlighting their need for assistance.
