Background

A new Stranger Things season was launching with a unique world in an 80's nostalgia setting. The Turkish people were not familiar with the 80's American nostalgia and the shows theme was unusual for them. Our brief was to introduce and localize the 80's American nostalgia and the Stranger Things world. We aimed to make the setting of the show interesting for the Turkish people.

Idea

We brought back the monster hunter Sadettin Teksoy of the most famous reality show of the 80s, who has not been seen in a long time, and sent him to Hawkins.

Strategy

Our strategy was to use a famous 80's public figure, who was announced to be the monster hunter of the country to enter the Stranger Things world and experience it through his eyes.

Execution

First we made a teaser asset where the monster hunter reenacted a scene from season 2, stepping in to a characters shoes and experiencing the upsidedown. Later we made a second film where he finds himself in Starcourt Mall, which is the main setting of the third season. In this mall he experiences 80's America while investigating the mysterious things about the mall.

Outcome

The film got really high interaction rates and densed organic conversation on social media.
