Description

The ‘Better City, Better Life’ theme of the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai, China offered a unique opportunity for Cisco to launch its “Smart+Connected Communities” (S+CC) initiative on a global scale. With more than 100,000 Mayors, Urban Planners, Developers and Urban Specialists visiting Expo during its six-month run, Cisco sought to:• Demonstrate their commitment and leadership in the China and Asia Pacific markets• Create and exhibit world-class technology showcases and pilots at the World ExpoTo better demonstrate the capabilities and implication of the technology featured in their brand pavilion, Cisco created a film in which a fictional Shanghai of the future is able to confront an approaching storm via the coordination made possible by Cisco technology to help city planners, emergency workers and citizens manage the crisis through real time data, sensing, communication and automated systems.
