One Girl Can is the result of successful ideation and collaboration with Walmart Canada including: engaging Walmart Canada in early stages of planning and immersing the retailer in focus groups to test various concepts.

To validate the concept, the One Girl Can team engaged consumer focus groups to confirm: fit with the brand, relevancy of book content, strong purchase intent and price point.

The One Girl Can team partnered with Kids Can Press to leverage their expertise in the publishing field.

Through the power of collaboration, Unilever Canada utilised all the leverage available to Walmart's vendor community.

Outcome

Incremental merchandising. - Secured one additional hit of merchandising for the Dove Masterbrand Achieved higher sales lifts - During the promotion the Dove team saw a 66% lift on baseline sales.
