Description

Roger Federer’s impact on the sport of tennis is undisputable, and everyone who plays the

game wishes they could play like he does. His inspiration and mark on the world of tennis is

unlike any other player and his legacy to fans and aspiring players is simply unmatched. The

idea emerged from this and how when you watch a great tennis match, you can’t wait to get to

a court and try to play like he can.

Execution

Released digitally and on social media in June 2017, “The Roger Effect” honored Roger Federer

and the inspirational impact he has on tennis players. Using compelling visuals and minimal

dialogue, we delivered a film more reminiscent of a motion picture than a traditional advert.

With the multi-platform release, we sought to energize tennis fans globally, especially those

faithful to Roger Federer, for Wimbledon and tennis in general.

Outcome

“The Roger Effect” speaks to every tennis fan’s desire to play the sport like the pros do and

successfully appeals to that aspiration. Evidencing that infectiousness, the film has garnered

nearly 1 million views on Instagram and over 7.1 million views on YouTube.
