Description

Amnesty International is a non-governmental organization focused on human rights. It conducts research and generates action to stop human rights abuses, and to demand justice for those whose rights have been violated.

On April 20th, a series of posters was set up guerilla-style on fences in downtown Montreal to grab the attention of passersby and show that a simple signature or donation can help Amnesty International fight injustice around the world.

With common tie-wraps—yellow to represent Amnesty—we “tied” the hands of tormentors to end their tyranny. We took these tie-wraps, used in Quebec to secure electoral campaign posters and elsewhere in the world as makeshift handcuffs during arrests, and gave them a whole new meaning.
