Background

We were challenged to show how the first-ever Toyota Corolla Cross fits perfectly into your life, and all that you do. We had to find a way to demonstrate this "fits just right" feeling in various cities throughout the country, and connect with audiences in a relevant way specific to their location and interests.

We needed to find different ways to authentically celebrate the diversity and personalities from both the artists and neighborhoods in each location that the outdoor installations were placed, so we worked with a variety of artists to represent multiple genders and ethnicities.

Execution

The art direction is bespoke to the attitude of each city location, and the Corolla Cross always needed to graphically fit in perfectly with the complementing mural that sits behind it. So we worked with well-known artists from each region: Elle and Jason Naylor (New York), Sentrock (Chicago), and Trav MSK (Los Angeles).
