Description
It’s not about brawn, it’s about brains, observational power, and being a step ahead of your enemy at all times. This campaign celebrates all of the quick decision-making skills needed to win in Halo Wars 2 by plucking our larger than life characters out of the game and engaging them in a real world battle of the wits. In this video execution, we find General Atriox and Captain Cutter face off over control of an armrest, moving from the battleground of the Forerunner Ark in 2559 to coach class on a domestic flight in 2017.
Execution
‘The Armrest’ long-form video debuted on YouTube and Facebook where it received paid support. It was also featured on YouTube masthead media placements in the days leading up to the game's launch.
We also served cutdowns of the spot in pre-roll placements across endemic gaming and sports sites that our target audience frequents.
‘The Armrest’ video received paid support in the US, UK, and Germany.
Outcome
‘The Armrest’ video made a huge splash in the gaming community, with the long-form video bolstering over 10 million views on YouTube alone and over 50 million digital video impressions across all channels.
