Description

Take a photo, and ‘Who Art You’ will match it with the portrait that bears the closest resemblance from 3,300 classical paintings. Using Alibaba’s cutting-edge face recognition technology, the agency changed the boundaries of creativity, merging technology with art, to create a unique user experience.

Execution

We created an art project and brought it to event exhibitions in 4 major cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Hangzhou. The art project includes a classic painting frame with an interactive LCD screen and an in-built-camera. The visitors lined up to have fun with the installation.

Outcome

It was reported by 200+ media outlets nationwide and was widely shared on WeChat and Weibo. But ultimately, thanks to overwhelming response, Who Art You received 10 million hits in the first month.
