BriefExplanation
PRAISE is Ram’s Thanksgiving tribute to all who labor to make their families, and their communities, strong. It’s a heartfelt homage to the all-too-often unsung waitresses, janitors, foremen, and construction workers who rely on Ram trucks, day in and day out, to get the job done. It’s a simple, humble offering of thanks to every single working mother and lifelong factory worker. With reverent, realistic portraits of their everyday lives, PRAISE praises all who clock in.

PRAISE
Honest, everyday scenes of working-class America: A quiet commute in the cold of the pre-dawn
hour. Passing factories, fields, farms, construction sites, power lines. Steam, rising from a cup of
coffee. Children, dropped off at a daycare. Lights, flipped on in a diner. From the everyday view
of a factory floor to hair being tucked back into a hair net, these are glimpses of real lives, at work
and at home, that feel utterly and completely familiar.
SFX: From the soundtrack to “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” by Alexandre Desplat
VO:
Praise the mill. Praise the rig. Praise the rope and the pulp and the dye.
Praise the time card, the green card, the union card, and the WIC card. Praise the single working mother, brighteyed
and bone tired. Praise the coffee. Praise the cup. Praise the daycare open late; praise the dinner, now cold;
praise the cranes, reaching their giant hands up into a cloudless sky.
Praise the lonely, laboring in the white linoleum glow of midnight halls.
Praise the line-worker and the line. Praise the foreman and the floor. Praise the second shift early Saturday; praise
the candle, lit at both ends; praise the snow, just as it begins to fall.
Praise all who sacrifice time at home for the one-day dream of their children’s lives outside of it.
Praise the workers.
Praise the work.
SUPER: Praise the work.
