Description
In 2010 Absolut Vodka created MADE to support art and creativity and to maintain a dialogue with its target audience. MADE is a space where artists from different disciplines can come together to create something extraordinary, something even they themselves haven't done yet.
For the Scratch'n Cut Project MADE gathered the inventor of the audio remix, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, the installation artists Daniel Gonzalez and Jonas Liveröd, and the mash-up DJs Eclectic Method in Berlin.
The result was an installation consisting of visuals, lights, music and sculptures; and an interdisciplinary remix composed of other remixes. Our task was to communicate the MADE event and the following exhibition appropriately.
Execution
We took the idea of remixing literally and combined the names of various famous artists from different disciplines. A poster flight spread the remix idea through the streets of Berlin. This idea allowed us to communicate the project as well as the concept of MADE in a very unique, fun, and simple way.Along with the posters and a trailer the campaign war punchy enough to print on T-shirts, which could then be purchased in select stores. The shirts also found their way onto blogs, Facebook and Twitter, and even Tyra Banks ordered one.Although MADE is based in Berlin, it has many fans from around the world who learn about the latest exhibitions, projects and events via the MADE-Blog. To engage this audience we developed a trailer that went viral immediately.
Outcome
The film was clicked on vimeo at least 3.958 times.
