The story depicts a modern day Adam and Eve being tempted by a David Bowie-esque lookalike (Berlin-era) Satan. The film is set in the luxurious and decadent surroundings of an art deco lounge bar, populated by a glamourous and menacing clientele. As the music climaxes and hypnotic snakes appear from Satan's clothes Adam and Eve have no choice but to succumb to temptation and Smirnoff 'Apple Red Bite'.

The challenge presented by this brief was in matching both the striking looks of Adam, Eve and the Bartender with their ability to convey the journey of emotions through expression and nuance alone. This required strong acting ability to enable development of the story from light to dark, whilst maintaining the playful aspect of the commercial throughout.

Although there was no dialogue, the actors & models at the casting were required to show a complete gamut of emotional responses, replicating the innocence and naivety of Adam & Eve at the beginning, and slowly transitioning across to a more uninhibited, flirtatious and primal version of themselves, with the Bartender acting as the catalyst.

The task to cast fascinating characters that the audience are drawn to watch, could only be realised through finding a unique brand of beauty for Adam & Eve that is both deeply attractive and yet atypical to the ‘ordinary’ standard. The actor playing Adam needed to balance ‘stiff nerdyness’ with handsome good looks whilst Eve needed a wide-eyed appeal that could transform into a vivacious beauty. The Bartender would provide the antonym to this beauty, representing the darker, edgier side of the story with his charismatic, seductive quality, but conversely androgynous looks. He was a reptilian-esque character who required a strange look that typically comes from the high fashion model world, looking pallid and thin in appearance and styled upon a young David Bowie meets Christopher Walken.
