The hunt is on for the 2017 Porsche APAC Driver of the Year. Those who qualify will be put through their paces in a series of highly unusual and exhilarating practical tests at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. Our recruitment film is inspired by one of the key challenges to be featured at the event – the emergency braking test.

We open on a racetrack. A 580bhp 911 Turbo S barrels down the straight, nothing but a streak of blue. The track is empty, except for one lone spectator: a chicken. The 911 careens around the track, gradually building up speed. Then, at full pace, our driver slams on the brakes. Showing remarkable precision, he comes to a complete halt just millimetres away from a traffic cone. An egg balances precariously on top of it. Safe and sound, the driver then returns the egg to its rightful owner.
