Filmed on location in Mexico City Coke Burn' "Ride" had over 60 seamless visual effects shots completed in a little over two weeks.

This film tells the story of real-life characters from Destretto, a street skateboarding collective based Mexico City.

These were not stuntmen so their safety was paramount. Hence the need for VFX.

As the skateboarders and "stunts" were real so too had to be the flames. Cutting Edge used a battery of technique compositing real and CG fire and smoke to create something that has baffled VFX award judges so much they have repeatedly said "Its real - it must be practical." Here is a tip - it wasn't. Enjoy.
