OVERVIEW

Background

The Coca-Cola 'Icons' campaign ran across digital OOH across the UK. The key digital OOH site being showcased in the entry is the iconic London Piccadilly Circus/Piccadilly Lights site - a major tourist location and a location with an estimated 100 million passers by every year.

Execution

The animation was built to seamlessly combine the simple, iconic silhouettes of Elvis and Marilyn with immediately recognisable Coca-Cola cues: the Coca-Cola 'red', the bottle cap, the contour bottle.

The iconic contour shaped Coca-Cola bottle morphs into Elvis' sideburns and into Marilyn's lips.

Through the power of negative space and drawing on the stylistic design mastery of Noma Bar we were able to pare every single element down to its bare essentials - nothing unnecessary, nothing without purpose.
