Description

Brain Magazine, a monthly magazine reporting on the world's leading design and advertising ideas for the Japanese. We were invited to create a cover design for Brain Magazine June issue and the brief was colour orange.

Execution

www.theorangesquid.com, a website posted on the magazine cover which became the extension of our cover design. 50 surprises were hidden in this super high resolution photograph. Readers were invited to log on to this hyperlink to uncover the hidden gems.

We shared and excited the readers with our creative portfolio, awards, stories, talents, news, Facebook, loves and hates. Those who successfully dug out all 50 hidden items, we rewarded with prizes.

Outcome

We proved that one magazine cover could become 60-minute fun discovery. This project had aroused intensive discussion among the editors and creative people in Japan. They are excited by our stories and creative works. Moreover, there were various readers from Hong Kong and Japan who had successfully sniffed out 50 surprises on our website, and received our grand prizes.
