We wanted to create a piece that expresses the underlying math & science behind Dolby's technology while tying it to awe inspiring, natural moments from around the world. Little lines flow and form anything visual within the piece in an organic, energy filled manner. Each of the moments are tied together seamlessly through the idea of a little "elemental" pixel. This "element" opens the piece through a birthing spark and reoccurs throughout to lead us into each thematic moment.

The time frame for the creation of this film (design and production) was 3 months. We spent an extensive amount of time in the beginning exploring the intricate and metaphorical design language for this film. Style frame explorations and an extensive editorial phase served as the initial jump-start to identify the right pacing and mood for the and the right narrative nature moments. Each scene underwent extensive r&d as each moment had to be conformed and built for an immersive 3D stereoscopic viewing experience. The visual creation of the piece was complemented by an extensive scoring phase by which a symphonic score and multilayered sound design were created and mixed. For this, the various layers were not only assembled to create a harmonious fusion of score and sound, but also to create the utmost three-dimensional sound experience by directing each sound throughout the spacial confines of the theater.

A mesmerizing film that went far beyond a classic showcase of technology, but has become much more of an immersive experience. This film is going to be featured over time at the Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime theater locations and also at Dolby’s proprietary Dolby Cinema theaters nationwide.
