In order to celebrate this moment in the most authentic way possible, we needed to cast real same-sex couples, who were really getting married. A challenging task, given that same sex marriage only became possible in January 2018, and we needed to shoot and be live for the Mardi Gras, which took place in early March. Several casting agents conducted a wide-ranging search throughout a variety of channels to find the 14 couples that were shot across film and outdoor executions.
