Description

I am a copywriter form Russia (yes, that evil isolated state with missiles) always wanted to work at Jung von Matt - the most jokery and trickstery agency out there. I realised I had no other chance but contacting the founder/owner Jean-Remy von Matt directly.

How the hell should I do that?

Execution

Jean-Remy's philosophy is translated into the whole agency: "A good piece of advertising is just like a trojan horse - it looks like a glittering present, yet at the end of the day it sells".

I took this statement as my weapon and created my own trojan horse trick: I sent a bunch of flowers to Jean-Remy's wife, Nathalie, with these words attached:

"Dear Jean-Remy,

I knew you will peek here, since I'm a husband myself, and I would be curious who the hell sends my wife flowers.

A copywriter is looking for a job at Jung von Matt. Portfolio is at www.andrew.tj

P.S. Good advertising is like a trojan horse :)"

Outcome

Results were perfect - Jean-Remy invited me to Hamburg to have interviews with many creative directors, and eventually we have signed a contract.

I am however still in confrontation with German authorities, who wouldn't want to issue me a visa because of political issues between Germany and Russia. I still hope and keep saying: #jesuisjungvonmatt
