Background
In Japanese, November 22 can be pronounced “ii fufu”, which also means “good married couple”. While every couple is different, everyone knows the marriage relationship is important. The theme of this newspaper ad is for husbands and wives to overcome relationship hurdles and take the time to face each other using waltz steps in the ad.
Execution
This idea formed when we were considering ways to create a full-page newspaper ad that couples could enjoy together. Couples can read the ad, confirm the waltz steps via AR video – which makes the idea more fun – and enjoy a waltz together using the steps shown in the ad. This combination in a single ad made the idea attractive.
