In this commercial, celebrity actors Bryan Cranston and Tracee Ellis Ross recreate

the iconic climax of The Shining. Bryan menaces towards the bathroom door with a

bottle of MTN DEW Zero Sugar. He hacks away at the door with an axe, explaining

that it’s the same MTN DEW taste, but without the sugar. He then puts his face up

to the hole he just created and delivers a twist on the iconic line: “Here’s Mountain

Dew Zero!” At first, Tracee fights him off with a brush, until she acknowledges how

thirsty she is and grabs the bottle. The spot ends with an elevator opening and a

torrent of green MTN DEW flooding the hallway with the line: “As Good As The

Original, Maybe Even Better?” Plus Bryan Cranston as twins.
