Description
As a maiden event, there was no reference material to fall back on. Also, the Nigerian market was chock full of other concerts which had been around for longer and enjoyed a wide top of mind awareness across different target groups. Agency had to find a way to make a classy event unique and cool.
Execution
For the final design, we avoided the cliche of populating the design with star power. Instead, we took the more understated route of focusing on the instruments that are used to deliver the experience, working with muted colours and the master brand's dominant green colour. With little copy on the page, focus is drawn to the art design in the middle of the page.
Outcome
Cloud 9 has now become a nationally recognised brand in it's own right. The logo designs have found their way into a mainstream audience, being used as everything from wallpaper to profile avatars. The class and less-is-more design style has created the impression of a stylish event for the discerning mind.
