Description

At IKEA you can find all kind of Christmas decorations, china, glasses, table linen, candles and blankets - everything you need to prepare for Christmas. And as always, IKEA is for everyone. Even the busiest man in the world takes his time to go visit IKEA before Christmas.

Execution

What people don't think about is that you change you bed several times during your life. We reminded and showed people that your bed actually changes when your life changes. So we gave swedes the opportunity to reveal their next steps in life by embroidering personal messages on IKEA beds, simply saying it with a bed. Some of the beds that were made on the website were delivered as surprises.

Outcome

- IKEA's likability went up with 10 %.

- Brand preference went up with 18 %.

- Store visitors who wanted to buy a bed went up with 20 %.

- In average visitors on the website spent 20 minutes creating different beds.

- Although bed deliveries were limited to Sweden only a worldwide audience wanted to participate

Besides all numbers swedes took the opportunity to take new steps in life and IKEA beds played the lead role in all of life's big moments: revealing pregnancy, popping the question and surprising kids with their first own bed.
