Background
Russia used to be one of the most reading nations in the World. Today the majority of people most-likely will watch a mediocre movie rather than read or listen to an audiobook.
Storytel, a Sweden-based audio streaming platform, created a new post-apocalypse audio blockbuster in a partnership with Dmitry Glukhovsky (the author of the bestseller 'Metro 2033'). Our challenge was to promote the audio series among cinema lovers having a significantly smaller budget than major entertainment companies usually spend on their movie trailers.
Execution
An audio series trailer aired in cinema. Despite all typical movie trailers, the film has no video. It tells the story with a help of music and sound effects only, provoking viewers' imagination and remind them the beauty of listening to audiobooks - you can imagine even more than you can see.
