Description
In ‘Make-up Tutorial’ we open in a bathroom where a YouTube video is being streamed to a phone, which shows how to do the perfect ‘Smokey Eye’. The camera finds young Andrew Farrell demonstrating the power and fragility of this intimate and important moment.
Working with Mark Albiston from Sweetshop we scoured Ireland and the UK to find a young Irish non-actor who had been on this journey of discovery himself, and who was willing to share it with us.
Execution
In “Make Up Tutorial” we see how one one man uses 350mb of Data, and turns it into something meaningful – a moment of self discovery. We open in a bathroom where we see a YouTube Make-up tutorial being streamed to a phone, demonstrating how to do the perfect “Smokey Eye”. The camera finds young Andrew Farrell demonstrating the power and fragility of this intimate and important moment.
Working with director we scoured Ireland and the UK to find a young, Irish, burgeoning actor who had been on this journey of discovery himself, and who was willing to share it with us.
