Execution

In order to allow anyone to use the Nokia Lumia 1020 from their home, or wherever they had access to internet, we developed a special software and a robotic mechanism so that Facebook users could take photos with the Nokia phone directly via Facebook.

We put Nokia Lumia 1020 phones all around different parts of Istanbul to capture different stories. Facebook users could control the camera to turn it left or right, and take photos of Istanbul. After taking their pictures, they had the chance to zoom in, see more details and reframe to create their own image. We pushed the campaign through social media using real time marketing and we invited people to take snow photos of Istanbul.

Outcome

The cost per trial of one person via Facebook for the Nokia 1020 was 70% cheaper than sending people to the actual sales locations to physically experience the smartphone.

In just 15 days:

• 3,781 people took 11,582 pictures

• photos taken were shared over 9,799 times

• people spent over 19,000 minutes within the platform

• the gallery of photos was viewed 30,000 times
