Description

Our sedentary routine starts from youth… spending all day sitting in school; all afternoon sitting doing homework, and the rest of the day sitting in front of a screen. Therefore Gatorade, has reached an agreement with teachers and schools in Guatemala to change the sedentary routine of children, introducing a new task in the school syllabus: “SPORTS HOMEWORK”. A task that allows teachers to assign Sports Homework to its students, creating an exercising habit just like you create an study habit with regular homework.

Execution

Using smart bracelets’ technology, we created an education app, that allows teachers to assign Sports Homework to their students. Students only have to take their Sports Homework, do what their professor assigned to them, and then deliver the Sport Homework completed next day, getting a grade according to the exercise they did. This helps to create an exercising habit in all students.

Outcome

Human impact:

Sports Homework started in 10 Guatemalan schools and now it’s in process of being implemented in all schools in the country, Culture and Sports Ministry joined the brand’s cause.

What started as a small project, now is in process of becoming a part of Guatemalan students curriculum. The real result will be to have a country with a healthier population.
