Description
The Mexican soccer team was going through one of the worst times in its history. In Mexico, football soccer is passion and all Mexican people were hurt.
Mexico was about to be left out of the World Cup Brazil 2014 ... but a group of young soccer players raised their voices. There was hope and we had to pass it on to all Mexican people.
Cumbia is a very popular musical genre in Mexico, it makes us laugh and dance even in the saddest moments.
So we asked for help from one of the most famous Cumbia groups of Mexico and we convinced them to change the lyrics of one of their most iconic songs.
Execution
There is very famous song called 17 years played by one of the most iconic groups of Cumbia in Mexico "Los Angeles Azules", a lucky coincidence! Immediately we rewrote the song paying homage to the UNDER 17 soccer team and that day we presented the idea to Coca, the next day we were with the Los Angeles Azules.
Outcome
The song quickly became a topic of conversation getting more that 10 million pesos in media impressions.
In just TWO DAYS we brought back the joy and hope to all people, and it was sang during one of the most important matches in Mexican soccer.
