Execution

After a long investigation, we got a list of the main problems of different cities. Then we developed an app that works with Google Street View, where we selected the most visited points of the chosen cities, where we spread all the problems, marking an element that represents each one of them. Example: element “Trash can”, problem “Generation of 6000 tons of garbage daily”.

For each problem, people can propose a solution, be it of they have created or one they have read or seen online. And the best ideas are becoming TEDx talks in the TEDx Buenos Aires event.

Outcome

During the first days of the campaign, plenty of new ideas where provided by visitors from different countries.

So many ideas where collected, that we could cover eight years of TEDx Buenos Aires high quality talks.

We have been called from different civil associations asking if we could add their “problems” to the map so they can get new solutions for them.

We got in touch with the authors of different ideas, who have started attending the course to become TEDx speakers.

Before they even become talks, some of the ideas proposed have been already implemented by the local government.
