Description

'Timesculpture' was created to promote Toshiba’s new upscaling technology which converts images on ordinary televisions to HD quality. To represent this step-change, we took 200 ordinary Toshiba camcorders and recorded an evolution of the 'bullet time' technique. Rather than showing a 3D rotation of a still moment, Timesculpture manipulates moving snapshots of time. It was watched more than 600,000 times in its first 5 days on you tube and was the #3 top favorited entertainment clip during its first month. The ad was recently awarded a Guinness World Record for the most cameras ever used in a composite film sequence.
