Description

True Fruits smoothies stand for a simple promise: 100% fruit - no tricks. That means 0% artificial flavours, colours or concentrates. To communicate this in an entertaining way we created the first computer animated campaign without computer animation: The green screen prank. Unsuspecting actors were invited to a green screen shoot where they had to interact with imaginary fruit creatures in a CGI fantasy world. Of course we never planned on adding any computer effects. Just like we would never add anything artificial to our delicious smoothies. The result: three entertaining TV ads that contain: 0% special effects and 100% clueless actors.

Execution

Our challenge was to find actors with an individual character who add real emotions to our fake commercials. Because in our three purposely ridiculous story’s the hero’s is not the mermaid or the centaur but the aspiring actor who really tries to impersonate a centaur in a magic fruit forest or mermaid that swims through the mango ocean.
