Background

- Situation: In the field of IT, everyone talks about “innovation” so much that the term has become a worn-out cliché. Press conferences and product launches tend to be boring and repetitive. Every event looks the same.

- Brief: We wanted to do something different. We didn’t want our event to be just another dry press conference.

- Objective: We wanted to provide an experiential event where the media could actually experience the product and listen to the story of the barriers that we had to overcome to achieve meaningful progress. Also we wanted to compel the members of the press to tell the story of our device in the media their own way.

Execution

- The 360-degrees center stage was installed in the middle of the venue.

- And for the first time, we simultaneously unveiled a new product both on stage and via 5,000 VR headsets.

To do so, 400km of LAN and electricity cable were installed on the floor. In addition, 280 switches, 53 routers, 7 controls and media servers were utilized.

From hardware to software solution, we developed everything from the beginning, to enable VR installation to all of the audience seats. Therefore 5,000 audience members experienced our product in a totally new way, by trying it firsthand.
