Description

We open on a shot of a large black rubbish bag (or a garbage bag, for any Americans reading this) in an office.

Throughout the film, the bag appears in more office situations. Meetings and suchlike. In every one of these situations, though, the bag is pretty much ignored. Which is perhaps to be expected for a literal sack of refuse – even one that is evidently in gainful employment.

Towards the end of the film, it’s revealed that the bag is actually a woman. A pregnant woman. A stand-in for one of the 40% of women, as revealed by our subsequent supers, who have suffered professional consequences for getting pregnant.

This is followed, finally, by an entreaty to support the Gender Equality Act.
