Synopsis

An angry rap song playing off an old boom box resonates in a desolate and remote valley where we see 2 young African boys playing football. The game is rough as are the boys and their appearance.

The action builds as we see one of the boys score a goal and we realize that there are 2 machine guns that have been dug into the ground, serving as goal posts. The drama culminates as we see the 2 boys pick up the guns, nonchalantly sling them over their shoulders and walk away leaving the viewer with the powerful message of African kids losing their childhood to the global demand for diamonds. This gritty spot interestingly communicates the insightful articles and credible information available to readers of The Economist.
