For IT Heads handling over 250 computers, making an investment on that scale is considerable and a lot of questions and queries cross their minds while making a decision. They are not very sure of how new technology would work with their existing systems. To assist in decision- making Microsoft introduced the Microsoft Technology Centre (MTC) where these people could actually see tailored solutions based on their company’s individual needs. Our task was to invite them to 'MTC' to see their IT solution at work before investing in it.
Outcome
Out of 200, 139 companies sent back their taped queries along with appointment requests - 69.5% response rate.Microsoft followed up with a call and almost everyone commented on the uniqueness of the response mechanism. Many appreciated the fact that Microsoft was actually making an effort to cater to their company’s individual needs. A few wanted to know if their voice sounded clear enough on the tape they had sent back.
Solution
To show them how effectively MTC could clarify their doubts, we sent them a simple kit. The text on the box cover encouraged them to get all their questions together. Inside was a Dictaphone, that they could use to record all the questions and queries they had regarding their IT investments. Once done, all they had to do was send the recorded tape back to MTC, along with their desired appointment time and day.
