There are dog lovers. But still lots of dogs are homeless. Animal shelters offer temporary hope and are often overcrowded. We at Samsung wanted people to adopt and give dogs a home.
We tied up with Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre. We converted Samsung Brand Stores into on-the-spot adoption centres by playing videos of dogs up for adoption on Samsung Joy Plus televisions. Their unique Screen Capture feature, allowed the viewers to see dogs up close and personal, save their pictures and take prints of them. After which they could call the animal shelter and take the dog home.
Effectiveness
Within the first few days the number of enquiries for adopting dogs shot up at Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre. In less than a month 40 dogs found new homes and over 1,500 enquiries generated.
Execution
We converted Samsung Brand Stores into on-the-spot adoption centres by playing videos of dogs up for adoption on Samsung Joy Plus televisions. Their unique Screen Capture or Like it? Keep it feature as we call it, allowed the viewer not only see dogs up close and personal but also save the pictures of the dogs they liked and take prints of them. After which all they had to do was simply call the animal shelter and take the dog home.
Strategy
The campaign was primarily targeted at walk-in customers at Samsung Brand Stores, who could both adopt dogs and also spread our message fast and help garner support.
The campaign made sure that customers not only experienced the Screen Capture feature of the Samsung Joy Plus Televisions but also use the same feature to adopt and give the homeless dogs a new home.
