Every hour there are 2 rapes, 3 homicides and 30 assaults with violence against women, unfortunately this has become common, but it is not normal

They happen and remain unpunished because nobody notices it.

If we put people's eyes on the moment when such a crime is happening, we could possibly avoid some.

Streetguard is a portable device that triggers the alarm of cars in a 25-meter range by a woman who is in grave danger.

It can be possible by a small enhancement made in all cars that have hired Alarm Systems de México. This doesn't affect the car computers, the regular alarm system nor the general functioning of the vehicles. Streetguard triggers the alarm, thus obtaining the attention of people in streets and the residents in adjacent homes, trying to avoid possible crimes.

We developed a device that trigger the car alarms in 25 meters. It doesn’t interfere with the car computer or its alarm, because it is an independent device, what this makes is to send an impulse to the alarm, making it sense that the door were open, so the alarm goes off, after 2 minutes the alarm sensor check again if the car is ok, it perceive that the car door is fine and stops.

The idea with this is to use the insight of people looking from their windows when a car alarm sounds, so we get all the visibility this kind of crimes need, cause the best way to prevent a crime is to act before it even happened.

We developed an idea that no only saved lifes literally, but also change the way how community dynamics develop, it make the crime cells to move to other city areas, the amount of witness in legal cases and pushed the local police to get to the crime scene before the social media. Not only at a cheap price, but also using a problem for the city, to solve another, the high amount of cars in the streets, and violence women suffer on the streets.

We implemented it in a few dangerous neighbors of the city, the results were amazing, in some places the people report that even the criminals had to move from the area.

We’re trying to push this idea to make it a law, so all the city could be a safe place for our women and girls.

In recent years violence against women has grown disproportionately; impunity, the authorities indifference and their own inefficiency, are the major responsibles about this situation.
