ClientBriefOrObjective

Panama City streets are damaged and the authorities don't seem to care about it. This inconvenience causes a lot of discomfort to drivers that have to transit through these streets everyday.

The idea was to point out the hassle people felt directly to the responsible of solving the problem of damaged roads.

Effectiveness

@ElHuecoTwitero helped positioning Telemetro Reporta as a medium that amplifies the claims and complaints from the audience. This initiative generated a communication strong enough to reach the authorities and begin repairs.

Commercial results:

In one month we reached:

60 Mentions.

106.3K Mentions reach.

1.14 Millons Retweet reach.

Execution

We installed a device inside the potholes of the most damaged streets of the city that tweets a complaint every time a car runs over it, to the Department Of Public Works' twitter account. @Tweetingpothole has a special segment with its tweets in our TV news show to present the complaints and made others aware as well to amplify the message.

Strategy

Our target audience is composed by existing news channel audience and its followers in social networks.

Twitter is a very important tool for Telemetro Reporta news, because it works in real time, updating and informing the people, so we noticed that this was an appropriate channel to take our complaints to the authorities, looking for the people to join our initiative.
