BriefExplanation
It has been 100 years since the ANZACs fought in the trenches at Gallipoli, to commemorate, we created The Unforgotten Soldiers - An Anzac Tribute, featuring a trench in the street scape of Auckland. Inspired by tableau vivant displays, the live-filmed performances took place entirely in black and white scenes to the naked eye, as if it was footage taken from the film archive. The activation then toured Wellington, and Christchurch whilst the footage was cut into a TV spot which launched on free-to-air and SKY channels.
EntrySummary
The ANZACs are the Australia New Zealand Army Corps who fought in the trenches at Gallipoli in the First World War. It was a military campaign that despite being widely accepted as a failure is oft viewed as a defining moment in the history of both New Zealand and Australia. An event so salient it is recognised with a public holiday in both nations. This campaign commemorated this 100 years on.
