Overview

Effectiveness

National unpaid editorial coverage. In place four months with an estimate of 2.8 million travellers passing through and by.

Execution

At thirty meters long and almost five meters tall our plane looked incredible inside the main terminal over the travelator (moving walkway). The structure was located inside of Australia’s busiest domestic terminal in Sydney.

Being constructed from high quality steel and aluminium it looked exactly like a Qantas plane. The structure was in place for four months and was constantly photographed and filmed.

Strategy

Flying across the Tasman to New Zealand takes no longer than an Australian domestic flight. Therefore, we wanted to showcase the best of New Zealand to domestic flyers and promote the Qantas New Zealand sale.

In partnership with Tourism New Zealand we built a thirty-meter Qantas 737-800 replica over themoving walkways at the busiest domestic airport terminal in Australia (Sydney).

New Zealand destinations were showcased as you looked out the windows and sale offers highlighted on LCD screens at the end of your journey. Ambient surround audio via internal speaker system made the journey even more delightful.
