Description
We wanted to use data to show that we are not that different from one another. No matter what language you speak or where you come from, we have some things in common.
Execution
We set out to shoot this with no actors, lighting or script. We wanted to capture real moments from all over the world. We connected with local teams in 12 countries and recorded hours of footage - essentially letting people use Google Translate how they normally would. There, we found our moments. We also used footage shot by some of our users.
Outcome
The video has been viewed over 21 million times on Youtube.
