Our concept premised that if you owned such an incredible TV, you may never want to leave home again. We created the fictional "Big Ali Quinn" to tell our story in two phases.

Phase 1(Unbranded Teaser) - Big Ali held a frenzied garage sale, and proceeded to give away outdoor equipment for free to random strangers on the street. This generated mass interest as to who he was and why he was giving stuff away free.

Phase 2 (Reveal)

Online participators (and national newspaper journalists) discovered Sharp association with Big Ali and went on to win their own Big Aquos

Outcome

Sharp enjoyed a successful product launch. Sales were up not just on the 90 inch, but across the entire Aquos range.

Our campaign was picked up by the most widely read newspapers in the UAE, and we received thousands of dollars worth of free media and positive PR from the publics interest and participation.

We were asked to increase Facebook fans by 100% - we delivered a 700% increase within 2 weeks, along with over 80,000 youtube views.

All of this was achieved on a minimal budget.
