Description

As Korea’s smart device market has grown dramatically, many smart products with quality functions and design such as tablet PCs, smart phones, smart TVs have been launched.In this competitive market, Samsung is introducing the ‘Galaxy Note’, which is a smart device that incorporates the key merits of a smartphone and a tablet PC.

How can we imprint the new Note product category in the minds of consumers?Our mission is positioning Note as a new category, promoting the unique innovativeness and convenience of Galaxy Note in the minds of consumers as well as in the smart device market by producing newly created contents.New contents, ‘Cine Note’, a collaboration of a webtoon and movies was produced as to provide indirect yet unique experiences of Galaxy Note that are unfound among smartphones and tablet PCs for consumers.

Execution

Since the development of Beyond Window we have been searching for the perfect product to use it with.

This is the synthesis of the perfect product and state of the art technology.

After we found the right place, our task was to maximize the effectiveness of our advertisement.

We ultimately decided upon the Seoul National University station, which is visited by over 300,000 people daily while Seoul’s metropolitan subway system services over 6,000,000 passengers daily.We also produced contents for Beyond Window only, therefore maximized the advertising effect.

Outcome

18m online hits! The project that began with a single device – the Galaxy Note –became an instant hit as the contents created (all with the Galaxy Note) quickly spread across mobile websites, micro sites and SNS. Meanwhile, it was heavily promoted through national TV and cable TV advertisements, portal websites and online banners. Furthermore, the user friendliness and attractiveness of the Galaxy Note was even more successfully communicated as the movie received widespread publicity through a series of events including a pre-production press conference as well as the first-ever premier and screening events at theatres.
