Background

Our black/brown and white Friesian cows are instantly recognisable as dairy cows across the UK. This ensured ‘Milk’ in the headline translated as ‘Cows’ in the visual.

Execution

Our brief to Illusion, our CGI partner, was to create characters that were simultaneously hyper-realistic and anthropomorphic. Together we experimented with different positions, postures, activities, settings and facial expressions. From udders to ukuleles, we aimed to make every character look like a cow yet feel like a joy-filled human being.
