Master Chief (also known as John 117) is the pure-hearted hero in the futuristic, space-faring universe of Xbox’s Halo video-game franchise. His super-charged green full-body armor is iconic and instantly recognizable in popular culture. But the armor’s origins have always been a mystery to gamers and non-gamers alike. For Halo Infinite, the 6th installment of the franchise launched in 2001, Xbox re-introduced the world to Master Chief by creating an origin story for the new armor that players will wear in-game.
